Nelson Mandela: Warriers Are Not Made Or Born…

Hey Everyone Kevin Pritchett here

As I work every day in my study I look at a picture of me and Nelson Mandela shaking hands.

For those of you who may not know, Nelson Mandela was a freedom fighter in South Africa who was violently opposed to the evils of apartheid (legal separation and bias of blacks in South Africa).

In 1962 he was sentenced to life imprisonment and actually served 27 YEARS IN PRISON!!  He was released in 1990 when the then South African President DeKlerk reversed a ban on ANC groups and activity.

Now this is where his story REALLY becomes profound relevant to you…yes I said YOU.  Read on below

On the day of his release, Mandela made a speech to the nation. He declared his commitment to peace and reconciliation with the country’s white minority, but made it clear that the ANC’s armed struggle was not yet over when he said

our resort to the armed struggle in 1960 with the formation of the military wing
of the ANC was a purely defensive action against the violence of apartheid.
The factors which necessitated the armed struggle still exist today.
We have no option but to continue. We express the hope that a climate
conducive to a negotiated settlement would be created soon, so that
there may no longer be the need for the armed struggle.”

He also said his main focus was to bring peace to the black majority and give them the right to
vote in both national and local elections

Mr. Mandela went on to become the first democratically elected President in the unified,
non apartheid South Africa, win the Nobel Peace Prize and garner over 250 awards over 4 decades.

What I’d like you to consider is NOT merely Mr. Mandela’s achievements but WHO he had to
become to bring those achievements about!!  The armed warrior did NOT bring about reform…
but rather the peacemaker.

The man who after 2i7 years in prison, rather than becoming bitter or broken instead
“became love” for his people and his Nation…. even after 27 years in prison.

What I’d like you to consider is this…

Warriors (peaceful and otherwise) are not born
and they are not made…..
Warriors CREATE THEMSELVES
through trial and error,
pain and suffering
and their ability to conquer
their own faults.

Mr. Mandela achieved great things not through some trick or by power or even by some
hypnotic influence or charisma…
He  was able to do great things because he MADE HIMSELF MORE.
He transformed his thinking and hence his consciousness and THIS change in
consciousness changed the world.

If  you are struggling and want more in and as your life,…
If you want  to do more, make more  you MUST BECOME MORE.

In other words, you cannot get to a new place in your life using the same broken,
limited vessel (mindset) that got you in your current jacked up state in the first place.

My friends, you BECOME more by expanding your thoughts.
You expand your thought by learning new things.  Trying new things.
Surrounding yourself with people whose expanded vision will pull you up.

You’re here because you want to make more money in your life.
But what you REALLY want is what you believe  that money will get you….
