The key is knowing your customer….creating what’s called a ‘Customer Avatar.’

That’s fancy language for knowing every single detail of your perfect customer….

-age
-gender
-income
-locale
-hobbies
-education

And drilling even further… in order to get DEEP inside the mind of your potential customer you MUST know what drives them…what problems they have, what dreams they have.

I’ve created a checklist of questions to help evaluate the mind of your perfect customer.  Here are the questions you must ask and know the answers to as the first step of any marketing campaign you create:

The  10 Customer Analysis Questions

1. What keeps them up at night indigestion boiling up their throat?;
2. What are they afraid of?
3. What are they angry about?  Who are they angry at?
4.  What are their top three daily frustrations?
5.  What trends are occurring and will occur in their businesses or
their lives?
6.  What do they secretly, ardently desire most?
7.  Is there in built in bias to the way they make decisions (e.g.
engineers=exceptionally analytical)
8.  Do they have their own language?
9.  Who else is selling something similar to them and how?
10. Who else has tried selling them something similar and how has
that effort failed?

When you know the answers to these questions plus the demographic details of your target or actual customer you will have a laser focused understanding of what that customer DESPERATELY DEEPLY WANTS……AND WHAT YOU SHOULD OFFER THEM!!
