The 3 Things That NEVER Lie…
1. The mirror
2. The scale
3. Your bank account
The Mirror
When was the last time you REALLY took a good hard look
at yourself in the mirror? Pretty scary thought for most people I know!!
We all have things we don’t like…want to improve..yada yada.
Here’s my point though. Do you avoid looking
at yourself in the mirror because of what you don’t want
to see? I thought so.
Huge tip…if you want to motivate yourself to work out more,
eat less whatever…just take a LONG HARD LOOK at your
body in the mirror then take a mental picture of what you see.
Or even better…put a picture of your body as it is on your refrigerator.
My guess is that you WON’T put that spoon of ice cream in
your mouth!!!
Hang in there with me…I will show you
how this is incredibly relevant to your financial well being.
The Scale
The scale also never lies. Now I know some of you may
be saying ‘well I’m big boned” or “I’ve got more muscle than
the average person…” or whatever B.S. you try to convince
yourself of that the number you see on the scale is not
the truth about you….
But the truth is…IT IS THE TRUTH.
Law of Physics…in a gravitational field, mass + gravity=Weight!!
The gravitational field on planet Earth is constant (for
the most part) so the only other component to your weight
is your MASS.
Your MASS is a function of the crap you eat…your fat.
Yes yes I know..I’m harsh….but patting you on your
fat fanny won’t help you become financially free.
Stay with me….
The scale shows weight relentlessly…it does not lie.
Further, there are height/weight charts available that tell you within reasonable parameters what your ideal weight should be for your height.
Point here…you may THINK you’re in shape or fit
or ok, or whatever description you may like. But your
scale will tell you THE TRUTH!! And if you paid attention
to the scale you could TAKE THE ACTIONS you need
to get your body where you want it…ah but you don’t.
You avoid the scale because as Jack Nicholson said
famously….
“You can’t handle the truth!”
Your Bank Account
The amount of money you have or don’t have tells
an interesting story about you. While your finances
don’t determine your inherent worth or the caliber of
person you are….it DOES determine your financial
prowess….your financial well being.
Money follows laws. And its a law that…..
