The Network Marketing/MLM Danger Zone
The Network Markting/MLM danger zone is WHEN YOU’RE JUST BEGINNING and you have no leads and no money. This is the most dangerous time in your entire career. Before I explain why, I want to share an illustration to make my point.
Just Like A Rocket Ship
Before a rocket ship can reach orbit in outer space it must first escape Earth’s gravitational field. The bigger the object (technically, the more mass the object has) the greater the pull of gravity and the more energy required for that object to break free from Earth’s gravitational field.
You’ve no doubt see pictures of a gigantic rocket ship leaving the launch pad. For example the Saturn V rocket that launched men into space and to the moon put forth over 7,600,000 pounds of thrust!!! Every bit of this thrust was required to lift this 6, 699,000 pounds of rocket off the ground and into orbit.
Now when you first start your business and you have no money, no leads and no list, you are comparable to a 7 ton rocket…but without the 6.9 million pounds of thrust!!
If You Have More Time And No Money
If you start with no money to buy advertising, your ‘thrust” is your own energy directed at making phone calls, free lead generation like article writing, blogging, twitter, Facebook and other free marketing strategies that take more time than money.
If You Have More Money Than Time
If on the other hand you have more money than time, your ‘thrust’ is you spending money to purchase well placed targeted advertising that generates a gigantic wave of viewers to your site which generates leads which when converted, leads to sales and money.
Your objective to start to maintain your sales momentum should always be to get to the 35 or more leads per day as quickly as you can.
Taking MASSIVE ACTION: The Key To Escaping Home Business ‘The Danger Zone’
And the key to getting to this 35 lead/day figure and thus getting out of the Danger Zone in your business is taking MASSIVE ACTION immediately when you start and continuously for a 90 day period when you first start.
If you have money, taking MASSIVE ACTION means placing advertising in quality traffic sources and generating massive traffic, massive leads and massive sales right off the bat.
If you don’t have money, then MASSIVE ACTION means :
1. Creating a list of everybody you know, calling and/or emailing them asking them to check out your offer and then having them tell you what they liked about it.
2. Writing at least one blog post every day around a specific keyword
and then sending the url for that blog post out to as many social media outlets as you can by pinging it. Also sending the blog to all your list.
The more action you take initially during this critical 90 day period, the quicker you will get to your 35 lead/day or more figure and the quicker you will escape the gravitational pull of getting started. You’ll find, more leads begets more sales which begets more money which starts the traffic-lead-sales-money cycle all over. And pretty soon you’re on autopilot and cruising at the speed of light…or at least the speed of your sales process!!
Your 90 Day Game Plan
So get off your arse, write up your 90 day plan. Sign a commitment statement of your 90 day plan of action and agree with yourself that you will not even think of stopping or quitting before the 90 day time frame is reached.
Create specific action steps and quantifiable targets for each month, week and day so that you know EXACTLY what you’re to do every single day and specific goals you want to accomplish every month, week and day of that 90 day period.
Sign it and put this action plan where you will see it every day. Complete your daily tasks and keep track of whether you hit your daily, weekly and monthly targets. Here’s a big tip, if you hit your daily action goals, the weekly and monthly goals will take care of themselves!!
That’s how to escape the Network Marketing/MLM danger zone.
